Board of Directors

Gerald S. Panneton, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Gerald Panneton is a geologist with over 25 years in mineral exploration and development. Mr. Panneton is President and Chief Executive Office of Detour Gold Corporation since its incorporation in July 2006. He was also President and Chief Executive Officer of Continental Minerals Corporation from 2006 to 2007. Since January 2008, Mr. Panneton is focusing all his time on Detour Gold. From 1994 to 2006, Mr. Panneton was with Barrick Gold Corporation where, for the last six years, he was Director of Advanced Projects and Evaluations for the exploration and corporate development group. He was instrumental in Barrick's acquisition of Pangea Goldfields, a Canadian company with Tanzanian assets and played a key role in advancing the Tulawaka and Buzwagi gold projects through feasibility and permitting. Prior to Barrick, he worked for Lac Minerals, Placer Dome Exploration and Vior-Mazarin Group. Mr. Panneton received his Bachelor of Science degree in geology at University of Montreal and his Master of Science degree in geology from McGill University.

Peter Crossgrove, B. Comm., C.M., M.B.A., Director and Non-Executive Co-chairman

Peter Crossgrove is a member of the Order of Canada and the former Chairman and a founder of Masonite International Inc., a door manufacturing company. Prior to January 1993, he was Vice Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Placer Dome Inc. Mr. Crossgrove sits on boards of several public companies (including Pelangio Exploration, Barrick Gold, Dundee REIT, Excellon Resources, Quadra Logic Technologies, and West Timmins Mining, formerly Band-Ore Resources) and non-profit organizations. His charitable work includes serving as Chairman of Cancer CARE Ontario, Treasurer of CARE International (based in Brussels) and Chairman of the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies. He holds a B. Comm. degree from Concordia University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He is also a Sloan Fellow of the Doctoral Program at Harvard Business School. In January 2010, he was awarded the Order of Ontario.

Louis Dionne, P.Eng., Director

Louis Dionne is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Since 2005, Mr. Dionne has been an independent mining consultant. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Richmont Mines Ltd., a Canadian gold producer, from 2002 to 2005. He also worked for Barrick Gold Corporation as Senior Vice-President, Underground Operations, where he provided technical input and leadership in the area of corporate mergers and acquisitions. Throughout his career, he has also provided technical, operations and management support for underground and open-pit operations, including as a technical expert in numerous evaluations, acquisitions and joint ventures related to underground developments in the United States and Canada. Mr. Dionne is a director of Aurizon Mines Ltd. and Beaufield Resources Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering degree from Laval University, Québec.

Robert E. Doyle, CA, Director

Mr. Doyle is a chartered accountant and chartered director with more than 30 years experience in all facets of international resource exploration, development and production. Mr.Doyle co-founded Medoro Resources Limited ("Medoro") and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 2008 to 2009. Mr. Doyle has also held senior executive positions at several other mining and resource companies, and was the Executive Vice President of Pacific Stratus Energy Ltd. from 2006 to 2007, Chief Financial Officer of Coalcorp Mining Inc. from 2005 to 2007 and Chief Financial Officer of Bolivar Gold Corp. from 2003 to 2006. Mr. Doyle has also worked for Lac Minerals Ltd. and Falconbridge Limited. He is a director of Medoro, Golden Star Resources Ltd., Mandalay Resources Corporation and NXA Inc. Mr. Doyle holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario.

André Gaumond, Eng. M.Sc., Director

Mr. Gaumond is a geological engineer with over 25 years in mineral exploration. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Virginia Gold Mines. He has worked as a geologist for several organizations, including Noranda, SOQUEM and the government of Québec. From 1987 to 1990, he was a mining analyst for financial institutions Pemberton Securities and Midland Walwyn, among others. In 1990, he joined Corpomin Management as a technical and financial consultant. Mr. Gaumond received the title of Québec Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005 and was named "Mining Man of the Year" by the mining publication "The Northern Miner". For the year of 2005, he was given the prestigious Canadian Prospector of the Year award. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). Mr. Gaumond has a Master's Degree in Geological Economics.

Ingrid J. Hibbard, LL.B, Director

Ingrid Hibbard is a mining and securities lawyer with over 25 years of experience in the mining industry. Since 1996, Mrs. Hibbard is President and Chief Executive Officer of Pelangio Exploration Inc. (formerly Pelangio Mines Inc.), a public mining exploration company. Previously, she was in private practice with clients ranging from junior explorers to major mining companies such as Noranda Mines and Hemlo Gold Mines Inc. She served as Corporate Secretary of Hemlo Gold from 1993 to 1999. Mrs. Hibbard graduated from the University of Western Ontario (B.A., LL.B).

Michael Kenyon, MSc., Director and Executive Chairman

Michael Kenyon is a geologist with more than 35 years experience in the international mining industry. In 1979, he co-founded Cumberland Resources Ltd. and was a director up to its acquisition by Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited in July 2007. He co-founded Canico Resource Corp. in 2002 and was the President and CEO up to its acquisition by Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD) in December 2005. He was a founding director of Sutton Resources Ltd. and President and CEO from 1983 up to its acquisition by Barrick Gold Corporation in 1999. Mr. Kenyon was given the Mine Developer of the Year award for 2005. He holds a Master of Science degree (Geology) from the University of Alberta.

Alex G. Morrison, CA, Director

Mr. Morrison is a chartered accountant with over 20 years experience in the mining industry. Mr. Morrison has held senior executive positions at a number of mining companies, most recently serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Franco-Nevada Corporation from 2007 to 2010. From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Morrison held increasingly senior positions at Newmont Mining Corporation, including Vice President, Operations Services and Vice-President, Information Technology. Prior to that, Mr. Morrison was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Novagold Resources Inc., Vice President and Controller of Homestake Mining Company and held senior financial positions at Phelps Dodge Corporation. Mr. Morrison began his career with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Trinity Western University and is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Jonathan Rubenstein, BA, LL.B, Director

Mr. Rubenstein practised law until 1993 and has been a mining executive since that time. In 2001, Mr. Rubenstein was one of the founders of Canico Resources Corp., where he served as a Director and as Vice President & Corporate Secretary. Mr. Rubenstein was instrumental in the negotiations for the 2005 acquisition of Canico by Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD). Mr. Rubenstein was also a director for Cumberland Resources Ltd. from 1983 to 2007 and was on the Special Committee for the Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. takeover in 2007. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Rubenstein was a director for Aurelian Resources and on the Special Committee for the takeover bid by Kinross in 2008. As Vice President, Corporate Affairs for Sutton Resources, he also played a key role in the takeover of that company by Barrick Gold Corporation in 1999. He is currently the Chairman and a director of MAG Silver Corp. and a director of Eldorado Gold Coporation as well as Troon Ventures Ltd.

Ronald W. Thiessen, CA, Director

Ronald Thiessen is a chartered accountant with professional experience in finance, taxation, mergers, acquisitions and re-organizations. Since 1986, Mr. Thiessen has been involved in the acquisition and financing of mining and mineral exploration companies. He joined Hunter Dickinson Inc. (HDI) in 1994 and became President and Chief Executive Officer in 2000. Mr. Thiessen assumes the following roles for other HDI companies: President and Chief Executive Officer of Amarc Resources Ltd. (since September 2000); Co-Chairman of Continental Minerals Corporation (since January 2006); Chairman of Farallon Resources Ltd. (since December 2005); President and Chief Executive Officer of Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. (since November 2001); Chairman of Taseko Mines Limited (since May 2006); and Chairman of Great Basin Gold Ltd. (since November 2006). He is a director of the following public companies: Amarc Resources Ltd., Anooraq Resources Corporation, Continental Minerals Corporation, Farallon Resources Ltd., Great Basin Gold Ltd., Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd., Taseko Mines Limited and Tri-Gold Resources Corp.


Management

Gerald S. Panneton, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Gerald Panneton is a geologist with over 25 years in mineral exploration and development. Mr. Panneton is President and Chief Executive Officer of Detour Gold since its incorporation in July 2006.

He joined Hunter Dickinson Inc., a company providing management and administrative services to several publicly-traded companies in January 2006 as President and CEO of Continental Minerals Corporation and in July 2006 as President and CEO of Detour Gold Corporation. Mr. Panneton resigned from Hunter Dickinson Inc. effective December 31, 2007 and resigned as President and CEO of Continental Minerals Corporation effective January 1, 2008 in order to focus all his time on Detour Gold Corporation. As of January 1, 2008, Mr. Panneton is a full time employee of Detour Gold Corporation.

From 1994 to 2006, Mr. Panneton worked for Barrick Gold Corporation where for the last six years he was the Director of Advanced Projects and Evaluations for the Exploration-Corporate Development group. His responsibilities included the evaluation and due diligence process of advanced projects throughout the world, in Russia, Europe, Africa, North America, Australia, and Asia. He was instrumental in the Pangea Goldfields acquisition in July 2000, where Barrick gained an excellent land position in Tanzania, with three advanced exploration projects, Tulawaka, Buzwagi, and Golden Ridge. Mr. Panneton was the key person in advancing Tulawaka through the Feasibility Study work, EIA process, permitting, which began production in 2005. On the Buzwagi Project, Tanzania, he contributed directly in increasing the 1 million ounce resource to a +5.0 million ounce resources. Before he joined Barrick Gold, he worked for Lac Minerals, Placer Dome Exploration and Vior-Mazarin Group. Mr. Panneton received his Master of Science degree (Geology) from McGill University.

Paul Martin, CA, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Martin is a mining finance executive with over twenty years experience, the last seventeen years directly focused on Canadian and international precious metals mining and exploration. He most recently served as the CFO and VP of Finance for New Gold Inc., which is dually listed on the TSX and AMEX exchanges, as well as held various senior corporate finance positions with Gabriel Resources (TSX), European Goldfields (TSX-V), TVX Gold (TSX and NYSE), LAC Minerals (TSX and NYSE) and Westminer Canada a subsidiary of Western Mining Corporation in Australia. Mr. Martin is also a member of the Board of Directors of Continental Nickel Limited. Mr. Martin is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and received a B. A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1984.

Pierre Beaudoin, Senior Vice President Capital Projects

Mr. Beaudoin joined Detour Gold on February 8, 2010 and will be responsible for advancing the Detour Lake gold project towards production. His initial efforts will focus on the finalization of the on-going feasibility study and assembling the construction and operation teams to bring this major open pit mining project into production.

He is a mineral processing professional with over 25 years of international operating and project development experience. Mr. Beaudoin spent the last 16 years with Barrick Gold Corporation. In his recent role as Director of Project in the Capital Projects Group, he directed the pre-feasibility and feasibility studies of the Cerro Casale open pit copper-gold project in Chile. As Project Manager, he also delivered a feasibility study for the Donlin Creek open pit project (Alaska) in 2007. He also contributed to the development of the Buzwagi gold mine in Tanzania (successfully commissioned in May 2009). From 1996 to 2004, Pierre held senior management positions at the processing plants of Doyon (Québec), Holt-McDermott (Ontario), and Kargoorlie Super Pit (Australia) mining operations. He was instrumental in improving process plant productivity at several of Barrick Gold's gold operations worldwide and to the successful commissioning of the Tambo gold processing plant in Chile. Before he joined Barrick Gold, he worked for Lac Minerals and Noranda Minerals.

Pat Donovan, P.Geo., Vice President Corporate Development

Pat Donovan is a geologist with over 30 years in mineral exploration and project development experience. Prior to joining Detour Gold, he was employed by Hunter Dickinson Inc. from 2006 to 2008 to manage the feasibility study of the Xietongmen copper-gold project in China for Continental Minerals Corporation. He successfully delivered, on schedule, positive feasibility studies for both the Chinese and Canadian requirements. From 1999 to 2006, he was with Barrick Gold Corporation managing advanced exploration projects in Tanzania (Tulawaka and Buzwagi projects). Previously, he managed all exploration programs for Consolidated Trillion Resources Ltd. in Zimbabwe. He was with Placer Dome Inc. from 1991 to 1996 responsible for Quebec exploration activities. Mr. Donovan received a Bachelor of Science degree (Geology) from Saint Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Derek Teevan, M.E.S., Vice President Aboriginal and Government Affairs

Derek Teevan has valuable experience in leading stakeholder engagement in the areas of economic development, environmental monitoring and permitting for companies, government and First Nation communities. Prior to joining Detour Gold, he was employed by De Beers Canada from 2004 to 2009, where he progressed to the position of Director, Government and Corporate Affairs. He played a key role in the environmental assessment and permitting of the Victor diamond mine in northern Ontario. He successfully led First Nation consultations and negotiations of impact and benefits agreements. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Teevan worked as a Special Advisor for the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development where he was involved in successful economic development and land claim initiatives. From 1997 to 2005, he held various consulting roles where he provided guidance and developed socio-economic initiatives mainly for First Nation communities and municipal governments. Mr. Teevan received his Master's Degree in Environmental Studies (Planning) from York University in 1997.

Paul Chawrun (P.Eng.), Director of Technical Services

Paul Chawrun is a mining engineer with over 20 years experience in progressive leadership responsibility in large-scale mine operations with Suncor Energy, Fording Coal Limited and Dynatec Corporation. Most recently, he was Vice President Project Economics and Acquisitions at Strategic Resource Acquisition Corporation. Paul's experience includes engineering management, capital budgeting, mine design, large scale earthwork engineering and government regulatory approvals; including expert project valuations and business frameworks. Paul also has a degree in Geology and a Masters in Business Administration. In the near-term, Paul will manage the feasibility study up to its completion and oversee all technical services.

Laurie Gaborit, B.Sc., Director Investor Relations

Laurie Gaborit is a geologist with over 20 years of Canadian and international exploration experience. Ms. Gaborit has provided strategic investor relations and corporate communications services for the resource industry since 1998. She joined Detour Gold in late 2006 as Director Investor Relations. She has provided investor relations services for junior mining companies for a number of years and previously served as Vice-President, Investor Relations for High River Gold Mines Ltd. and Manager, Investor Relations for Rio Narcea Gold Mines Ltd. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons. Geology) and started her career in the mineral exploration industry for Aur Resources Inc., Cambior Inc., and Romarco Minerals Inc.

Jim Robertson, P.Eng., Director, Environment and Sustainability

Mr. Robertson joined Detour Gold on April 12, 2010 and will be responsible for integrating proactive environmental management and sustainability for the Detour Lake gold project. His initial efforts will focus on the permitting and approvals for the development of the project.

Mr. Robertson is an environmental engineer with 34 years of experience in the mining industry. Most recently, as Director of Approvals and Sustainability for Barrick Gold Corporation, he managed the permitting and approval process, and environmental aspects for projects under development, including Pueblo Viejo (Dominican Republic) and Cerro Casale (Chile) and worked with project teams to integrate environmental, community and social standards into the designs to meet regulatory requirements. Prior to the 2006 merger of Barrick Gold and Placer Dome Inc., Mr. Robertson spent over 17 years at Placer. In his last eight years with Placer, he was Director of Environmental Services where he managed the corporate environmental affairs of the Company. He also worked for Teck Corporation for 13 years as an environmental coordinator for a number of development projects and mine expansions.

Greg Miazga (P.Eng.), Director, Construction and Engineering

Greg Miazga is a Civil Engineer with over 30 years of progressive experience in construction engineering and development management of large projects. Prior to joining Detour Gold, Mr. Miazga spent the last five years with AMEC Americas Ltd. managing engineering and construction programs for potash expansion programs in Saskatchewan. He also worked 16 years with Kilborn Inc./SNC Lavalin Engineers and Constructors, Inc. as area manager/field engineer for Voisey's Bay nickel mine, Diavik diamond mine, Dukat silver project (Russia), and Kumtor gold mine (Kyrgyzstan). Mr. Miazga received his degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Sheldon Rachuk, Director, Procurement, Contracts and Logistics

Shledon Rachuk joined Detour Gold in April of 2010 and has over 30 years of professional procurement and logistics experience supporting mine construction and operations. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Rachuk consulted for IAMGOLD Corporation, De Beers Canada Inc, and AMEC Americas and in strategic management roles with responsibility for construction planning and execution and operations readiness. From 1992 to 2005 he worked with Cambior Inc. at their Guyana Shield operations where he managed the purchasing and logistics functions to support project construction/ operations.

Rachel Pineault, Director, Human Resources and Aboriginal Affairs

Rachel Pineault is a human resources professional with over 18 years of experience. She joined Detour Gold January of 2010 and will be taking the leadership role for developing and implementing human resources corporate policies, compensation strategy management and will lead the talent management programs. Ms. Pineault is highly committed to ensuring employment and training opportunities are maximized for the local aboriginal communities. Ms. Pineault has worked in Canada for a number of remote mining projects including Hope Brook Mine in Newfoundland, Kemess Mine in Northern British Columbia, and the Colomac Mine, NWT and was instrumental in implementing employment/training policies and procedures, which included the participation of aboriginal communities. From 2004 to 2010 Ms. Pineault worked at De Beers' Victor mine in Ontario where she developed a sustainable business model to bring long-term benefits to the local aboriginal communities, including training and educational programs. Ms. Pineault is currently working towards her Law & Justice degree from Laurentian University.
