Detour Gold is currently ramping up to become Canada’s next intermediate gold producer, having started gold production in early 2013. With a projected mine life of over 20 years, the Detour Lake open pit operation is expected to make a positive socio-economic contribution to the economy of northern Ontario.
Ramping up in operations, Detour Gold will transition from almost 1,200 contract workers to over 500 permanent employees. With the mine in production, the work schedule at site will be an attractive one week in/ one week out. Our employees are hosted at site in a newly constructed facility set next to a pristine lake and equipped with en-suite rooms and amenities to make living at camp your ‘home away from home’.
